Bristol Old Vic

Bristol Old Vic

Bristol Old Vic is a British theatre company based at the Theatre Royal, Bristol. The Theatre Royal, built between 1764 and 1766, is the oldest continually-operating theatre in the English-speaking world, and is designated a Grade I listed building.

Ghostly phenomena reported here include the apparitions of a woman in a high-collared black dress (believed to be the actress, Sarah Siddons) and a male scenic artist who was killed in an accident, disembodied footsteps and voices, the smell of lavender perfume, the sense of presence, the feeling of being pushed past, and a lantern moving of its own volition.
